I’ve been doing makeup in a professional capacity for 8 years. I started doing makeup for friends while I was in graduate school. I worked for makeup agencies and salons for several years, freelanced, and now as a co-owner of BBBB. My favorite makeup look to do is an elevated natural look with airbrush! My favorite hair styles to do are curled half up styles and twisted updos. I love to chat with my clients and hear about their lives! Time together is an experience and I try to make every interaction warm and welcoming. When I’m not doing hair and makeup, I’m a dog mom of two, foodie, and professor of social work!

Foundations used: Temptu, Estee Lauder, Face Atelier Waterproof

Favorite Product lines: Laura Mercier, Givenchy, Kevyn Aucoin, ColourPop, Nars, Urban Decay, Makeup by Mario, Stila, Embryolisse

“I am the founder and co-owner of BBBB. I’m a hair and makeup artist, Wife, mom, and iced coffee lover. I started out in the beauty industry 16 years ago after attending the Aveda Institute and worked as a stylist at Aveda salons. I then went on to take continuing education in fusion, tape in, and hand tied extensions. I found my love of updos and all things bridal after having my son in 2014, and have been loving the travel and work with each unique and beautiful bride ever since! I especially love doing relaxed, textured updos, and anything with braids.

My family relocated to the Seattle area in late 2021 and we have been so lucky to expand the business, build and amazing team here in the PNW.

When I’m not doing hair and makeup, I love to spend time with my family and dogs, be outdoors, and travel.”

“Hello I’m Jamie! I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist for 5 years & certified makeup artist for 3, specifically doing bridal hair & makeup for the past 3! I loved doing updos in cosmetology school & didn’t care much for cut & color, I would do more updos then there were sign offs I had to get from teachers. Makeup really took off for me when I attended Makeup First school in Chicago in 2019 & got certified as a makeup artist. We got opportunities to try all aspects of the industry & I fell in love with bridal. I now also now teach a class at Makeup First school in Naperville ‘hairstyling for makeup artists 101, which I am super excited about’

My favorite thing about the industry is giving someone that boost of confidence they deserve when they look in the mirror for the final look. Being a part of one of the biggest moments in a person's life is magical to me & I always feel honored. I also love that every professional in this industry is always willing to learn more, help & invest in & love what they do.

Hair product lines I love working with include Kenra, Sexy Hair, Redken & MoroccanOil.

Makeup product lines I love working with include Anastasia, Morphe, RCMA, Hourglass, Benefit, Ardell, Kiss, Charlotte Tilbury, Maybelline, Mac, & Makeup By Mario.

Foundations I work with are Face Atelier (traditional & airbrush), Temptu (airbrush) & Charlotte Tilbury.

I love boho styles & romantic updos are my jam. Makeup can be so customizable but my love is definitely soft glam looks & radiant skin.

If I am not glamming you can find me snuggled up on the couch with my pups (I adore them, I will most likely have to show you a picture if we start talking about dogs), exploring the outdoors, working on our show cars with my fiancé or out shopping with my mom for hours.”

Tell us a bit about your start, and experience in the wedding industry?: I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 10 years, and continue to be so inspired by the industry! I primarily work in hair styling & makeup for weddings, photo shoots, events, and formal occasions. I specialize in styling and haircare for naturally curly & textured hair. My mission as a stylist is to empower every client to feel confident, relaxed, and fabulous!

What is your favorite thing about working with wedding parties?: Being able to provide a glam experience that is both empowering and luxurious is my main goal! It is always an honor to be a part of someone's special day, and being able to help the bride and her wedding party feel beautiful is one of the most rewarding jobs one could ask for.

Brag on yourself! We want to hear what makes you most proud of your work?: The proudest part of my work is being able to bring empowerment and inclusivity to my corner of the beauty industry, because everyone deserves to feel their best. Beyond my work as a HMUA, I also teach classes to other hair and/or makeup artists on offering beauty services that are inclusive of all hair types, skin colors, gender expressions/identities, and more.
On the more creative side of hair and makeup, I have been a featured artist in several art shows, festivals, fashion shows, etc. As much as I absolutely love glam beauty makeup, I have so much fun creating art with hair and makeup, whether it be for a specific costume or cosplay, or for a more avant garde, artistic type of showcase or project.

Let's hear about any classes, continued education, or creative projects you've done recently: As a student, I have recently been taking as many classes specific to wedding hairstyling and makeup as I can, and have learned so many cool tips and techniques. Aside from that, I have been mainly focused on teaching more diversity & inclusivity based trainings for stylists to have the skill sets to accommodate people of color

You can pick one specialty for the rest of your career- what is it?: Only one is such a tough choice!.....but I would have to go with boudoir photo shoots. My first job as a HMUA was working for a boudoir photographer, and since then have worked with several others. I have learned invaluable lessons not only in hair & makeup for photography, but also for how to truly empower someone, to help them feel not only comfortable but beautiful in their own skin. Every boudoir photo shoot is truly an incredible experience, and I am always honored to be a part of that.

What's in your kit? Favorite brands & Products: For makeup, I love Temptu for airbrush foundation! I also use lots of products from Sephora Collection, Juvia's Place, MAC, and Charlotte Tilbury, to name a few favorite brands.

Favorite makeup look(s) to do:: Bronzy glow, Editorial, Creative, Old Hollywood glam, Natural glam, Full glam, Halo eye, Fox eye, Doe eye, Cat eye, Glitter, Cut crease, Contoured eye, Dewy

What's your hidden talent?: When I am not doing hair and makeup, I am teaching Zumba & dance classes!

What's on your playlist? (Netflix/spotify/podcasts, etc): Jazz is my go-to for music, I go between classic Jazz on the Radio or my Jazz Funk station on Pandora. I also am a huge YouTube watcher, for both beauty content and other silly stuff!

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?: When I am not working, one of my favorite fun activities is escape rooms! I also love cosplaying, going to Renaissance faires, basically dressing up and/or going on adventures is my jam!

Tell us a bit about your start, and experience in the wedding industry?: I was a makeup artist for MAC when a customer asked me to do wedding makeup at her house. I didn’t know that was a thing but said ok, since I had a full kit. I thought it was a one time request but a girl from that wedding contacted me to do her upcoming wedding, and it just kept going.

Eventually, I practiced styling hair to get into commercial work (skill in both makeup and hair are required) although I didn’t want to do hair at all. I ended up loving it and went on to get my cosmetology license. I still do commercial work but have transitioned to only doing hair for weddings because I’m really passionate about special occasion hairstyling.

What is your favorite thing about working with wedding parties?: Weddings have a positive energy to them, and I love seeing the dresses, flowers, and color schemes. It’s my favorite thing to be creative and make people feel like they’re a real life Pinterest image.

Brag on yourself! We want to hear what makes you most proud of your work?: I’m very detailed with figuring out various parts of a hairstyle and then bringing all of them together. It’s always nice when clients tell me their hair is even better than they hoped for.

Let's hear about any classes, continued education, or creative projects you've done recently: I recently attended a curly hair cutting class, am always taking online styling classes, and my last commercial job was doing hair and makeup for Hilton Hotels in conjunction with the James Beard Foundation.

You can pick one specialty for the rest of your career- what is it?: Bridal hairstyling.

What's in your kit? Favorite brands & Products: My kit is mostly Kenra, and I can’t live without their Texturizing Taffy; it does so many things and smells like baby unicorns.

Favorite stores to shop at?: I’m obsessed with Bath & Body Works for candles and hand sanitizers. For fashion I love Coach, Anthropology, Free People, and Ralph Lauren.

Favorite style(s) to do- Hairstylists:: Sexy, Glam waves, Sleek, Chic , Romantic, Braids, Vintage

    Favorite makeup look(s) to do::

What's your hidden talent?: Color theory

What's on your playlist? (Netflix/spotify/podcasts, etc): True crime, scary/spooky stories, and music from international djs.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?: I love fashion, collecting accessories, and putting outfits together based on my personal style. I’m also into canine history, and cooking.

Hi! I’m Jessica. I’ve been working as a licensed cosmetologist for over 10 years and I’ve always loved everything about beauty. Ever since I was 11 and started styling my mom's hair, I knew my heart was set on becoming a hairstylist.

Five years into my career, I styled my first wedding and instantly knew that was what I wanted to specialize in. There's something so rewarding about helping a bride look and feel her best on one of the most important days of her life.

I believe everyone deserves to feel beautiful and special, and that's what I aim to do for each of my brides. When I'm not behind the chair, I'm enjoying life as a wife and mom to a beautiful baby girl. My family is my world, and I cherish our time together.

This allowed access to training from some of the country’s top makeup artists, and fueled my passion for helping people discover their true beauty potential. Years of working every day with real every day people made me realize the power of natural-looking makeup. Soft and classic looks are my signature. Tell us a bit about your start, and experience in the wedding industry?: Started out working for MAC cosmetics for fun… Thankful my passion turned into a career. Worked for MAC 13 years then for Armani Beauty for 7. I wouldn’t say I was a “wedding” makeup artist but more of a skilled artist. I was always, and still am, looking to grow and work on anything I could. Started weddings while working at MAC. Also worked on fashion shows, photo shoots, Halloween makeup Etc. With schedule conflicts I wasn’t able to work on as many. Over the years my priorities have changed and allowed me to focus on my dream. I’ll be honest… your girl is struggling with too much free time. Sometimes you just need to breath and trust the process.

What is your favorite thing about working with wedding parties?: My favorite thing is honestly connecting with the clients I work on.

Brag on yourself! We want to hear what makes you most proud of your work?: When clients look in the mirror and fix their hair. I love how I can make my clients feel during the application and after. Also compliments from my fellow artists.

What's your hidden talent?: Well I just though it was makeup but I literally just stained my leather couch from camel color to a Merlot. So I paint faces and now furniture. Lol.

What's on your playlist? (Netflix/spotify/podcasts, etc): Ooh that’s dangerous lol. Spotify any where from Bad Bunny to Stevie Wonder. Hip Hop (when it was good), R&B, pop, world, reggae, reggaeton, etc. Anything I can dance to really.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?: Working out and spending time with my loved ones. Summer: beach, festivals, and patios. Winter: football, hibernating, and cooking. Concerts always

Tell us a bit about your start, and experience in the wedding industry?: I have always had passion for makeup and it originally started when I was used to be a flight attendant. As requirement we were expected to follow a specific look for makeup when working. From that point on I learned the basic skills that allowed me to progress in my craft. I decided to pursue make up full time and continued to grow my skill by being self taught. Around this time, Youtube was just becoming a learning platform for the makeup community. Shortly after, I took a couple classes such as Makeup by Mario, MakeupFirst, and received my certification from London Eyes School Academy. My first couple clients would be specifically for special events, photoshoots, and other occasions, typically smaller groups. Later on the bridal industry caught my attention and I knew I would want to grow in that category of makeup because it always caught my eye.

What is your favorite thing about working with wedding parties?: My favorite thing about working at wedding parties is the fact I get to be apart of something so special. Every bridal group is different so every experience is unique, whether it is because of personalities, culture, looks, dynamic or the atmosphere.

Brag on yourself! We want to hear what makes you most proud of your work?: I think my adaptability is one thing that makes me proud of my work. It is important to stay up to date with current trends as well as upcoming. Another thing I am proud of is my, skin process. I have always believed that your base is super important for the rest of your look because it serves as your canvas.

Let's hear about any classes, continued education, or creative projects you've done recently: I recently completed a shoot with an indie brand called By Balan. My daughter got to model for the brand and I was the makeup artist for her look!

You can pick one specialty for the rest of your career- what is it?: If I had to pick one specialty it would be, what I am currently doing at the moment, bridal makeup!

What's in your kit? Favorite brands & Products: Marc Jacobs, Nars, Tom Ford, M.A.C, Haus Labs, Natasha Denona, Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tillbury, Dior, Fenty Beauty, Estee Lauder, Laura Mercier, Huda Beauty Pat McGrath, Patrick Ta.

Favorite stores to shop at?: Sephora, Nordstrom, Ulta, Zara, Tory Burch, Aritzia, Lululemon, Coach, Burberry, Dior.

Favorite makeup look(s) to do:: Natural, Bronzy glow, Neutral, Shimmery, Natural glam, Dewy, Editorial, Old Hollywood glam, Full glam, Cat eye, Halo eye, Smokey eye, No makeup- makeup, Creative, Fox eye, Sharp wing, Glitter, Cut crease, Contoured eye

What's your hidden talent?: My hidden talent is styling! Prior to fully committing to bridal, I would spend majority of my time on editorial shoots as a makeup artist and stylist. I enjoy dressing up models for concepts, the same way I love creating looks.

What's on your playlist? (Netflix/spotify/podcasts, etc): My Spotify playlist is a mixture of music but I am always open to new sounds. So a lot of times I will look over curated playlists of songs that are performing well.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?: A couple things I enjoy doing outside of work are going to libraries for coffee dates with my daughter. When the weather is warm and sunny going on walks is another activity I enjoy with my kids. As a makeup artist, recreating and perfecting new skills off my Pinterest and Instagram inspiration board is important. I get the chance to use my two daughters as my muses for looks which is fun for all of us collectively. Mainly because we all love makeup just as much as we enjoy the fashion aspect of dressing up to complete the look.

***Our makeup artists are proud to offer a global range of both airbrush and traditional options, which are both included in our base rate for makeup.***

"I have been working in the beauty industry for 24 years as a makeup artist. I discovered my love of special event/ bridal/ glam makeup in the beginning of my journey. To see the transformation from a beauty/artistic and creative standpoint as well as on an emotional level for the client is THE reward. There is a visible and palpable sense of confidence exuded by the client THIS brings my work alive. My favorite thing about the industry would have to be the support that industry pros give eachother. The industry is ever-changing. I am ever-learning! The beauty of makeup is that the artist can be as creative as the client allows. As an artist, I enjoy editorial, beauty, glam, theatrical, fantasy, etc. I love to do it all because it keeps my skills polished, my creativity fresh, and my portfolio all inclusive!

Tell us a bit about your start, and experience in the wedding industry?: It started in high school; I was the girl always doing everyone's makeup, I loved it then and still do to this day. Over the years I have done makeup for all occasions. I teamed up with Katie close to 4 years ago while doing makeup for a bride while she did hair. Shortly after I was invited for a Blush and Braids Bride and have been with them since. I absolutely love the bridal industry for makeup, the teamwork is the best part for me, the visual schedule keeps things smooth, and expectations are easier met. Bridal makeup is always timeless in style, with an emphasis on bringing out the bride's unique beauty. As an artist, this is where I thrive.

What is your favorite thing about working with wedding parties?: Definitely seeing all the different family and friends together. The love and joy in the room with a touch of nerves. It's exciting.

Brag on yourself! We want to hear what makes you most proud of your work?: I feel like my down to earth personality is very relatable and can have a calming effect on people. I have a good eye and can quickly apply looks that make ones features pop and stand out. Making whoever in my chair comfortable is priority, so any desired changes can be expressed without hesitation. We all know how scary it feels to tell an artist when you don't like something they did. I pride myself in executing your glam.

Let's hear about any classes, continued education, or creative projects you've done recently: Besides recently attending a class with Blush and Braids last year on pro tips. I attended and completed a "Master Class" hosted and instructed by Mario Dedivanovic.

What's in your kit? Favorite brands & Products: Huge fan of Nars for skin, love Anastasia Beverly Hills for all things brows. Morphe always has a great collection for lip products and color variety. I love an excellent moisturizer like Weleda or First
Aid Beauty before any makeup application. Natasha Denona eye shadows. Urban Decay setting sprays are guaranteed, but for a lighter feel I grab my e.l.f sprays. KISS lashes are user friendly and very versatile. And lastly, my Maybelline waterproof mascara, nothing can top it. It has been my front runner since high school. Trust me, I have tried many since.

Favorite stores to shop at?: Ulta. I'm an Ulta girl.

What's your hidden talent?: Not drinking any water ever.

What's on your playlist? (Netflix/spotify/podcasts, etc): Play me some Pink, add in some Miley Cyrus and get me going with some Bomba Estereo. For Netflix, anything dark with mysterious murders, that also disrupts my sleep after watching tend to be my picks.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?: I love spending time with my two kids. They're little years are short, and I'm trying my best to absorb their little selves. I'm packed and ready for the beach at all times. I love a good late night phone session with a bestie. And going for festive drinks anywhere is always delightful.

Tell us a bit about your start, and experience in the wedding industry?:

After working in social media advertising for years, I decided to make the jump and follow my true passion of makeup and haven't looked back! I love working weddings, as it allows me to work with all different types of people, interact face to face, and be a small part of someone's very special day. I've worked on many different teams and with many different artists which has given me a variety of training and experience.

What is your favorite thing about working with wedding parties?: My favorite part of working with wedding parties is getting to know everyone and making everyone feel comfortable and at ease. I love seeing how each group is different and the bond between everyone. And I of course love making each person feel their best and beautiful.

Brag on yourself! We want to hear what makes you most proud of your work?: I love being able to read people to see what they like and what makes them feel special and unique. Makeup is a way of expressing yourself, but I also always want to make sure I show each person's individual beauty through their already gorgeous faces and personalities. When you sit in my makeup chair, I want you to really enjoy the experience, and I've been told on many occasions how relaxing it is to work with me and have makeup done by me. That makes me proud, that I can make people feel at ease and also beautiful at the same time.

Let's hear about any classes, continued education, or creative projects you've done recently: When I'm not doing wedding makeup, I try to find any makeup creative outlet I can find, mainly runway. I've been involved in both antixartfest and MODA fashion show. I love being able to do more creative looks and have always been obsessed with fashion. I would love to do more music, so looking to break into that soon as well!

You can pick one specialty for the rest of your career- what is it?: I love when artists can take something more editorial/creative and make it wearable and want to bring that more into bridal and special occasions when it makes sense.

What's in your kit? Favorite brands & Products: NARS, Mac, Danessa Myricks, NYX, Haus Labs, Makeup by Mario, RCMA

Favorite stores to shop at?: Ulta, Sephora, Camera Ready Cosmetics

Favorite makeup looks:: No makeup- makeup, Natural, Bronzy glow, Neutral, Shimmery, Clean girl, Dewy, Natural glam, Editorial, Creative, Fresh faced, Grunge, Glitter

What's your hidden talent?: I also love everything music. I love singing and used to (still try to when I can) play piano, guitar, and trumpet.

What's on your playlist? (Netflix/spotify/podcasts, etc): Music - everything but country and electronic. Alternative, Rap, and Pop are my go-tos.

TV - I have my tv shows I always go back to: Always Sunny, Community, and New Girl.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?: Travelling, going to concerts, and spending time with my son and husband.

Tell us a bit about your background and experience in the beauty industry: I've been working as a makeup artist for 17 years. My first foray into makeup was working as a filler in the cosmetics department in Carson Pirie Scott as a part time job after high school. I eventually realized that I wanted to pursue makeup as a career so I attended London Eyes Makeup Academy in 2006, and then began working at Mario Tricoci as a makeup artist in 2007. Since then I've worked with various beauty brands including Lancome, MAC, Nars, Maybelline, IMAN, and others. In 2012, I decided to leave beauty retail for good and concentrate on freelancing--primarily weddings.

What is your favorite thing about working with wedding parties?: I truly consider it an honor to be in such an intimate space with brides and their loved ones on one of the most memorable and momentous occasions of their life. It's nice knowing that the hour I get to spend pampering and beautifying my bride is probably one of the last moments she'll have to relax and take everything in before her day takes off. Helping people feel like the most beautiful and polished versions of themselves is such a satisfying feeling, and one that I enjoy each and every time I finish.

Brag on yourself! We want to hear what makes you most proud of your work?: I'm proud of how much I've grown over the years--not just in my artistry but my ability to handle whatever comes my way. Whether it's staying calm and not missing a beat when you forget your brushes at home an hour away, or you show up and realize you have to double the amount of clients in the same amount of time because your second artist came down with Covid the night before. I may be stressed out to the moon and back, but my clients will never see me sweat. I'm also proud of my ability to give the client what they want. I try to make every session I have with the client about them and not me, so I always make sure to have a very thorough consultation because I want to make sure that they are happy and walk away feeling like this is the best they've ever looked. I've had clients tell me countless times that when they've had their makeup done in the past, the artist pretty much did what they wanted without really listening and they appreciated that I really consulted with them to give them a look that they loved--some will say even better than their own wedding day.

Let's hear about any classes, continued education, or creative projects you've done recently: I recently took a class with Jacqueline Jaber which focused on a more glam application. I've also had the opportunity to have either taken classes with, or studied under some of my makeup heroes that have been incredibly influential on my career such as: such as: Renny Vasquez, Nicky Posley, Reggie Wells , Sir John, Kevin James Bennet, and Tiyana Robinson

You can pick one specialty for the rest of your career- what is it?: Elopements and destination weddings.

What's in your kit? Favorite brands & Products: lip colors: Pat McGrath Lipsticks, Maybelline liquid lipsticks, NYX butter gloss

skin: Charlotte Tilbury beautiful skin foundation, ELF halo glow, RCMA, Graftobian, Temptu, Hourglass concealer

powders: RCMA no color powder, YSL soufle finishing powder, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder

Skin prep and finishing: Sonia Roselli water balm and water elixir, The ordinary Hyaluronic acid, hyaluronic essence, and squalene oil, MAC fix +, Kryolan Fixing Spray

Favorite stores to shop at?: Nordstrom. Greatest department store in the world, and I never regret spending money there.

Favorite makeup look(s) to do:: Natural, Bronzy glow, Neutral, Clean girl, Dewy, No makeup- makeup, Fresh faced

What's your hidden talent?: I don't know how "hidden" it is, but balling (and by balling I mean traveling) on a budget

What's on your playlist? (Netflix/spotify/podcasts, etc): Apparently I only watch period pieces and listen to sports (and sports business) podcasts

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?: Attending live events, included but not limited to: sporting events, concerts, stand up, the theatre, the symphony, the opera, the ballet, etc. Also taking random solo trips (preferably out of the country) without telling anyone.
